February 7, 2007 CHICAGO -- Winner of seven of its last eight games, the University of Chicago men's basketball team has been ranked 23rd in this week's D3hoops.com poll of NCAA Division III schools. Ranked 19th a week ago, the Maroons split a pair of University Athletic Association games on the road last weekend, defeating Brandeis University 74-69 (Feb. 2) before falling to then 25th-ranked New York University 79-75 (Feb. 4). Chicago (16-4 overall, 7-2 University Athletic Association) shares the top spot in the UAA standings with Washington (Mo.) University. The Maroons close out the home portion of their regular season slate this week as they entertain Case Western Reserve University on Friday, Feb. 9 and Emory University on Sunday, Feb. 11. Game times are scheduled for 8:00 p.m., and 12:00 p.m., respectively. |
