Chicago and Aurora Tie 0-0
CHICAGO -- The 20th-ranked University of Chicago men's soccer team played Aurora University to a scoreless tie in non-conference play Monday at Stagg Field.
Senior goalkeeper Keith Crum (Holland, Pa./ Council Rock South) made one save for the Maroons (1-0-1) en route to his first shutout of the season and the 18th of his career. He needs two shutouts to match David Collar's (1996-99) Chicago career record of 20.
Aurora netminder Nick Kimmer stopped five Chicago shots.
The Spartans (1-0-1) outshot Chicago by a 14-11 margin, including a 6-1 edge in the two overtime periods. Both goalkeepers made one save in overtime.
Chicago is now 17-2-2 at Stagg Field since the start of the 2004 campaign and is unbeaten (4-0-1) in its last five home matches.
