ATLANTA, Ga. -- Freshman forward Edgar Friloux's (Madison, Wis./ West) goal in the 64th minute gave the University of Chicago men's soccer team a 2-1 win over 17th-ranked Emory University in University Athletic Association play on Saturday.

Friloux scored his second goal of the year off an assist from sophomore forward Eric Floyd (McMurray, Pa./ Peters) at the 63:09 mark to snap a 1-1 tie. The goal marked Friloux's second game-winner in Chicago's (6-3-1 overall, 1-1 UAA) last three outings.

Chicago took a 1-0 lead when junior forward Andrew Hamilton (Springfield, Ill./ Sacred Heart-Griffin) tallied his second of the year at 23:44 for the only scoring of the first half. Friloux assisted on the goal.

Emory (9-2, 1-1) tied the game on Chad Chambers's goal at the 58:27 mark.

Senior goalkeeper Keith Crum (Holland, Pa./ Council Rock South) stopped four shots for the Maroons, while Emory's Keith Meehan also recorded four saves.

The victory was the Maroons' fifth in their last six matches and their first UAA win under first-year Head Coach Scott Wiercinski.
