Maroons Fall at #4 Ohio Wesleyan
DELAWARE, Ohio -- Craig Neal's goal in the 81st minute lifted fourth-ranked Ohio Wesleyan University to a 1-0 win over the University of Chicago men's soccer team on the first night of the OWU adidas Invitational.
Neal directed a header into the Chicago net at the 80:29 mark for the game's lone goal. Ben Brewer collected the assist.
Chicago (1-1-1) outshot the host Battling Bishops (3-0) by a 15-8 margin and had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Six of the Maroons' corner kicks came in the second half.
Senior netminder Keith Crum (Holland, Pa./ Council Rock South) made two saves for the Maroons, as did his Ohio Wesleyan counterpart, Jamison Dague.
Chicago will take on Ohio Dominican University in Saturday's adidas Invitational second round. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. (ET).
