Nicaya Rapier Named UAA Player of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago junior Nicaya Rapier (Munster, Ind./ Bishop Noll) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's basketball, the conference announced today.

Rapier notched a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds as Maroons defeated North Park University 81-55 at the Ratner Athletics Center this past Saturday (Dec. 16). She also collected 11 points and nine rebounds in a 69-43 win at North Central College the previous Tuesday (Dec. 12).

Rapier earned her first career UAA Athlete of the Week award.
