Petra Wade Named UAA Pitcher of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Petra Wade (Batavia, Ill./ Batavia) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for softball (pitching), the conference announced today.

Wade won all three of her starts last week to tie the Chicago all-time victories record with her 49th lifetime win.

In four appearances including three starts, Wade notched a 1.40 earned run average. In 20.0 innings of work, she struck out 24 while issuing just four walks. Wade also contributed at the plate, batting .526 (10-for-19) with a home run and eight RBIs.

On the season, Wade sports a 14-5 record with a 2.18 ERA. She has recorded 109 strikeouts in 106.0 innings.
