Chicago Falls in Five Games at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Junior middle hitter Erin O'Neill (Peoria, Ill./ Notre Dame) set a school record for block assists in a season as the University of Chicago volleyball team dropped a 30-28, 21-30, 28-30, 30-27, 15-10 decision Tuesday night at Lake Forest College.

O'Neill collected five block assists to increase her season total to 78, surpassing the previous mark of 77 set by Carie Moss in 1996. She also added two block solos.

Junior middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) led the Maroons (4-20) with 17 kills and a .577 attack percentage (17-2-26). Kendall also contributed two block solos and a pair of block assists.

Freshman middle hitter Anika Heavener (Telford, Pa./ Souderton) also finished in double-digit kills with 12, while sophomore outside hitter Katie Volzer (North Canton, Ohio/ Lake) added six blocks.
