Maroons Drop Four-Game Decision to Wheaton
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago volleyball team won the first game but dropped the last three en route to a 26-30, 30-23, 30-14, 30-24 loss to Wheaton (Ill.) College Tuesday night at the Ratner Athletics Center.
Junior middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) led the Maroons (4-25) with 10 kills and five blocks, including a pair of solos.
Junior middle hitter Erin O'Neill (Peoria, Ill./ Notre Dame) and freshman middle hitter Anika Heavener (Telford, Pa./ Souderton) each collected six blocks as the Maroons fell for the eighth consecutive time.
Sophomore setter Nikki Boddicker (Encino, Calif./ Buckley School) finished with 26 assists.
Wheaton improved to 16-9.
