Nofi Mojidi Selected to All-Region Team
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago junior Nofi Mojidi (Silver Spring, Md./ Bullis School) was today selected to the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Women's Basketball Team.
A third team selection, Mojidi won the University Athletic Association regular season scoring race with 16.4 points per game. An All-UAA first team pick, Mojidi also ranked third in the league in steals (2.52 per game) and fifth in field goal percentage (49.5%).
Mojidi, who tallied her 1,000th career point at New York University on February 4, scored double figures in 21 of 25 games with seven 20-point efforts. Her 409 points marked the fifth-highest season total in school history.
With 63 steals, Mojidi became the first Chicago player to collect 50 or more thefts in three consecutive campaigns.
Chicago posted an 18-7 overall record in 2006-07 and finished fifth in the UAA with a 7-7 mark. The Maroons' 18 victories were their most since 1994-95.
