January 3, 2007 CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's basketball team has been ranked 10th and 17th, respectively, in this week's USA Today/ESPN and D3hoops.com NCAA Division III polls. Ranked 14th by USA Today/ESPN and 17th by D3hoops.com in the previous week's polls, Chicago is off to a 10-0 start. Last night at the Ratner Athletics Center, the Maroons defeated Wheaton (Ill.) College 57-36 for their 25th consecutive non-conference victory. Chicago tips off University Athletic Association play at home on Saturday, January 6 when it entertains nine-time defending league champion Washington (Mo.) University at 1:00 p.m. |
