January 9, 2007 CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's basketball team has been ranked seventh and 13th, respectively, in this week's USA Today/ESPN and D3hoops.com NCAA Division III polls. Chicago, which was ranked 10th by USA Today/ESPN and 17th by D3hoops.com a week ago, is one of eight undefeated teams (11-0) in the NCAA Division III. The Maroons tipped off University Athletic Association play with a 54-51 win over then 24th-ranked Washington (Mo.) University this past Saturday at the Ratner Athletics Center. Chicago resumes UAA play on the road this week with games at Emory University on Friday, January 12 and Case Western Reserve University on Sunday, January 14. |
