Chicago Rises to #5, #11 in NCAA Division III Rankings

CHICAGO -- One of only five undefeated teams in the NCAA Division III, the University of Chicago women's basketball team has been ranked fifth and 11th, respectively, in this week's USA Today/ESPN and D3hoops.com polls.

Chicago improved to 14-0 overall and 3-0 in the University Athletic Association following wins over Emory University (81-50, Jan. 12) and Case Western Reserve University (71-62, Jan. 14) on the road this past weekend.

The Maroons return home this week for a pair of UAA contests.  After entertaining Carnegie Mellon University (6-8, 0-3) Friday, January 19 at 6:00 p.m., Chicago faces the University of Rochester (14-0, 3-0) -- which is ranked second in both national polls -- Sunday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m.
