Chicago Slips to 12th, 13th in NCAA Division III Polls

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's basketball team has been ranked 12th and 13th, respectively, in the USA Today/ESPN and D3hoops.com NCAA Division III polls released today.

Chicago (16-2 overall, 5-2 University Athletic Association) held the top spot in the USA Today/ESPN poll and the #4 position in the D3hoops.com rankings a week ago before falling to nationally-ranked New York University (75-66, Jan. 26) and Brandeis University (57-48, Jan. 28) at home last weekend.

The Maroons face both teams on the road this week as they take on 19th-ranked Brandeis on Friday, Feb. 2 before meeting 12th-ranked NYU on Sunday, Feb. 4.

Chicago is currently locked in a three-way tie for second place in the UAA, one game behind league-leading Washington (Mo.) University.
