Chicago Places 19th at NCAA III Championship
WEST CHESTER, Ohio -- Senior Vidthya Abraham (Spartanburg, S.C./ Governor's Math & Science) earned All-America honors as the University of Chicago women's cross country team finished in 19th place at the 2006 NCAA Division III Championship Saturday in West Chester, Ohio.
Abraham finished 27th overall with a time of 23:41 on the six-kilometer course. Fellow senior Dilshanie Perera (Princeton, N.J./ Princeton) placed 76th as she clocked a time of 24:38.
Sarah Zerzan of Willamette University was the top individual finisher with a winning time of 22:31.
Middlebury College captured the team title, as just five points separated the top three finishers. Middlebury collected 144 points, while Amherst College and Calvin College were next with 145 and 149 points, respectively.
Wilmington College played host to the event.
