Chicago Takes Fifth at Oshkosh Invite
OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The University of Chicago women's cross country team placed fifth at the 11-team University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational on Saturday.
The meet included five of the top 30 teams in the NCAA Division III.
Seniors Vidthya Abraham (Spartanburg, S.C./ Governor's Math & Science) and Dilshanie Perera (Princeton, N.J./ Princeton) placed 18th and 19th, respectively, with five-kilometer times of 22:44 and 22:49.
Washington (Mo.) University's Beth Herndon paced the 90-runner field with a time of 21:54.
Third-ranked Washington won the event with 38 points, while #7 Calvin College and #21 Emory University finished second (42) and third (95), respectively.
