Maroons Defeat Wheaton 25-12

WHEATON, Ill. -- The University of Chicago wrestling team evened its dual match record at 2-2 with a 25-12 victory Wednesday night at Wheaton (Ill.) College.

The Maroons won five of the eight contested bouts, including a win by fall by senior Phil Kruzel (Elmhurst, Ill./ Fenwick) at 165 pounds and a major decision by senior Drew Marriott (Excelsior Springs, Mo./ Excelsior Springs) at 197.

Senior 174-pounder Mike Bishof (Oak Brook, Ill./ York), sophomore 184-pounder Justin Lucas (Medford, N.J./ Shawnee), and freshman 157-pounder Troy Carlson (Cary, Ill./ Cary Grove) each won by decision.

The win was the Maroons' second straight.
