November 18, 2006 CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team improved its dual meet record to 5-0 with wins over Grinnell College and Lake Forest College Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in the Ratner Athletics Center. Chicago got past Grinnell 157-142 and defeated Lake Forest 208-69. Sophomore Sarah Laws (Eagleville, Pa./ Methacton) and freshman Cassie O'Neill (Roseburg, Ore./ Roseburg) won multiple events. Laws took top honors in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle (25.91, 56.68), while O'Neill led the way in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke (1:10.69, 2:29.82). |
