Chicago Places Third at Maroon Invitational
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team finished in third place at the 10-team Maroon Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in the Ratner Athletics Center.
Freshman Cassie O'Neill (Roseburg, Ore./ Roseburg) won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.81 and was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke as she clocked a time of 1:10.83.
Freshman Alicia Bushman (Green Bay, Wis./ Home School) took top honors in the 200-yard backstroke with a winning time of 2:18.07.
Luther College (730 points) edged out Washington (Mo.) University (671) for the team title. Chicago finished with 517 points.
