Maroons Finish Sixth at UAA Championship
CLEVELAND -- University of Chicago freshman Cassie O'Neill (Roseburg, Ore./ Roseburg) earned All-University Athletic Association honors and posted national-qualifying performances in two events as the Maroons claimed sixth place at the 2007 UAA Championship at Case Western Reserve University.
O'Neill was the runner-up in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke with respective times of 1:07.53 and 2:25.71. Both times met the NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying standard.
O'Neill also finished sixth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:14.62.
Chicago accumulated 704.5 points in the final team standings. Emory University won the championship with 1,887 points, finishing ahead of New York University (1,349.5) and Washington (Mo.) University (1,333.5).
