DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Led by Ricky Kolze's game-high 21 points, Loras College took advantage of an 11-0 run in the first half and a 9-0 run in the second stanza en route to a 66-61 win over the University of Chicago men's basketball team.

A three-point basket by sophomore forward John Kinsella (Chicago, Ill./ University High) gave Chicago (3-4) its last lead of the night, 18-17, midway through the first period. Kinsella hit four three-pointers on the evening and finished with 13 points.

Loras (5-2) then scored the game's next 11 points to take a 28-18 lead at the 5:06 mark. Kyle White tallied five of his 15 points during that stretch. The Duhawks led 33-24 at the break.

Chicago closed to within six points, 50-44, with 10:15 left in the game, but a White layup sparked a 9-0 Loras run to give the Duhawks their largest lead of the game, 59-44 with 7:19 remaining.

The Maroons answered with an 11-0 run to cut the Loras lead to 59-55 with 2:15 to play. Sophomore guard Jake Pancratz's (Schaumburg, Ill./ Schaumburg) three-pointer with 1:35 left on the clock cut the gap to 61-58, but the Maroons could get no closer. Pancratz finished with 10 points.
