Chicago to Travel to St. Thomas (Minn.)
for NCAA Division III Regional

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's basketball team will travel to the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) where it will face the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Tournament Friday, Mar. 7.

Chicago (18-7) and Wisconsin-Stevens Point (22-6) will play Friday at 6 p.m. The host Tommies (23-4) will then meet Buena Vista University (21-6) at approximately 8 p.m.

Ticket coupons priced at $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors (over 65) may be purchased -- cash only -- at the Ratner Athletics Center room 244 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday. The ticket coupons must be exchanged at the St. Thomas box office for event tickets prior to the game.

Chicago received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship as the University Athletic Association regular season champion. The Maroons make their second straight NCAA tournament appearance and fourth in nine years under head coach Mike McGrath.
