Chicago Claims Individual, Team Academic Honors

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman Arthur Baptist (Arlington Heights, Ill./ Prospect) has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Cross Country All-Academic Team.

The award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.

Baptist placed 57th among 258 runners at the Midwest Region Championship meet.

Chicago was honored as an All-Academic Team. The award recognizes teams that competed and compiled a team score at their respective NCAA regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10.
