CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman forward Alex Clifford (Houston, Texas/ Philips Academy Andover) has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-North Central Region Men's Soccer Team.

Clifford, who last month was named the University Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, led the Maroons with six goals and three assists for 15 points during the 2007 campaign. He tallied four times in UAA play and ranked third in the conference with 0.57 goals per game in league competition.

Clifford was one of just two freshmen selected to the All-North Central First, Second, and Third Teams.

Chicago finished the 2007 season with a 6-9-2 overall record and placed sixth in the UAA with a 1-4-2 mark in conference play.
