Maroons Blank Aurora 2-0
CHICAGO -- Sophomore forward Edgar Friloux (Madison, Wis./ West) scored his first two goals of the season as the University of Chicago men's soccer team defeated Aurora University 2-0 in non-conference play Saturday at Stagg Field.
Following a scoreless first half, Friloux scored off an assist from sophomore defender Andrew Marshall (Rockford, Ill./ Boylan) at the 57:48 mark.
Freshman forward Alex Clifford (Houston, Texas/ Phillips Andover Academy) then set up Friloux's second goal on a corner kick at 78:05.
Raising his record to 4-1, freshman netminder Steven Baron (Chalfont, Pa./ Penn Charter) made four saves en route to his second shutout of the year.
The Maroons (5-3) won their second straight match and fourth in their last five outings.
Aurora fell to 4-2-1.
