Chicago Sweeps Grinnell, Lake Forest
CHICAGO -- Seven Maroons won their respective events as the University of Chicago men's swimming & diving team defeated Grinnell College and Lake Forest College in dual meet competition Saturday at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.
Chicago defeated Grinnell 163-123 and bested Lake Forest 175-94 to improve its dual meet record to 4-0.
Junior Shane Carlson (Houston, Texas/ Memorial) won a pair of events, as he took top honors in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke (1:01.30, 2:13.43).
Senior Andrew Kent (Barcelona, Venezuela/ CIPLC) led the way in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.82) and anchored the Maroons' first-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:40.79).
