CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman Will Zhang (Wynnewood, Pa./ Lower Merion) has been named the University Athletic Association Rookie of the Year as the conference announced its 2008 All-Association Men's Tennis Team.

Zhang split a pair of matches at first singles as the Maroons captured fourth place at the UAA Championship last weekend at Emory University. He finished the season with a 14-8 singles mark.

Sophomore Lado Bakhutashvili (Fox Point, Wis./ Nicolet) garnered All-UAA Second Team honors at third singles.

Bakhutashvili, who was 14-8 in singles play during the 2007-08 campaign, won his only completed match at the conference championships in Chicago's 6-3 victory over New York University in the quarterfinal round.
