Maroons Defeat Carthage
KENOSHA, Wis. -- The 18th-ranked University of Chicago men's tennis team defeated Carthage College 7-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Lado Bakhutashvili (Fox Point, Wis./ Nicolet) and freshman Tim Walsh (Winter Springs, Fla./ Winter Springs) won at second and third singles, respectively, and teamed up to win at second doubles. Freshman Mark Bonner (Chicago, Ill./ Latin School) won at sixth singles and third doubles.
Chicago raised its season record to 8-4 overall, 7-2 against Division III opponents. Carthage slipped to 4-4.
