FLOSSMOOR, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's tennis team defeated Hope College 8-1 Saturday at the Homewood-Flossmoor Tennis Club.

Senior Bharath Sithian (Staten Island, N.Y./ Staten Island Academy), sophomore Lado Bakhutashvili (Fox Point, Wis./ Nicolet), sophomore Garrett Brinker (Granger, Ind./ Penn), and freshman Mark Bonner (Chicago, Ill./ Latin School) each posted wins in singles and doubles competition.

With their second straight victory, the Maroons improved to 2-1 on the season. Saturday's match marked Chicago's first against an NCAA Division III opponent after two contests against Division I foes.
