Maroons Ranked 5th, 20th in NCAA Power Rankings
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's and men's outdoor track & field teams have been ranked fifth and 20th, respectively, in this week's U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Power Rankings.
In the women's rankings, Chicago's 281.22 points trailed only Washington (Mo.) University (292.61), the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (288.14), the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse (285.23), and Willamette University (283.14).
On the men's side, Chicago collected 282.39 points. Augustana (Ill.) College (325.00), Whitworth University (317.34), and North Central College (311.27) held the first three spots.
The Chicago women and men were ranked second and 23rd, respectively, in last week's polls.
Chicago returns to action at the Hillsdale College Relays this Friday and Saturday (Apr. 25-26).
