Ray won the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 14.80 meters during the Maroons’ season-opening dual meet at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her performance marked the second-best throw in school history and missed the NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying standard by just .20 meters.

Elgamal won three individual events and was a member of a winning relay team as the Maroons defeated Kalamazoo College 175-108 in dual meet competition. She set a school and pool record in the 100-yard butterfly with an NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying time of 57.84 seconds and led the way in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.15) and 200-yard freestyle (2:01.98).
