Feb. 12, 2008 Nicole Murphy Named UAA Athlete of the Week CHICAGO -- University of Chicago sophomore Nicole Murphy (Coppell, Texas/ Coppell) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's indoor track & field. At last Saturday's Illinois Wesleyan University/Bob Keck Invitational, Murphy met the NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying standard in the shot put competition with a 12.83-meter throw. Her performance currently stands as the top shot put distance in the UAA. |
