CHICAGO -- University of Chicago sophomore Molly Hackney (East Lansing, Mich./ Lansing Catholic) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's basketball, the conference announced today.

Hackney scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Chicago (22-6) fell to Kean University 70-56 at the NCAA Division III sectional semifinals this past Friday. She also blocked four shots and collected a pair of steals.

Chicago's leading scorer (12.9) and rebounder (6.4) during the 2007-08 campaign, Hackney collected her second UAA weekly citation of the season.
