CHICAGO -- University of Chicago junior Rachel Venezia (Canton, Mass./ Canton) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's outdoor track & field.

Venezia, who was honored for the second straight week, established an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time as she won the 3,000-meter steeplechase competition at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships. Her time of 11:07.11 currently stands at the sixth-fastest to date in Division III.
