CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman defender Katie Manuelli (Hightstown, N.J./ Peddie School) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for women's soccer (offense), the conference announced today.

Manuelli collected two goals and an assist as the Maroons (8-4-3 overall, 1-1-2 UAA) split a pair of non-conference matches at Stagg Field.

Manuelli opened the week with a goal and an assist 40 seconds apart in a 4-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse on Oct. 17. She then scored with just five seconds left in regulation to force overtime against the nation’s top-ranked team, Wheaton (Ill) College, on Oct. 20. Chicago eventually lost the match 3-2 in double overtime.
