Kendall, Bucciarelli Named to All-UAA Team
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) and sophomore outside hitter Diandra Bucciarelli (Del Mar, Calif./ Torrey Pines) have been selected to the All-University Athletic Association Volleyball Team, the conference announced today.
A second-team pick, Kendall averaged 3.31 kills and 0.80 blocks per game while notching a .387 hitting percentage on the season. She posted similar numbers in UAA play, with 3.17 kills, 0.68 blocks, and a .389 attack percentage in 11 conference matches.
A two-time UAA Athlete of the Week, Kendall finished her career as Chicago's all-time leader in total blocks (389) and block assists (244) as well as the Maroons' runner-up in kills (1,135) and block solos (145).
Bucciarelli ranked second on the team in kills (3.05 per game) and digs (3.14 per game) en route to garnering All-Association honorable mention accolades. She collected 3.37 kills and 3.85 digs per game in UAA competition.
Kendall and Bucciarelli both earned All-UAA honorable mention recognition a year ago.
Chicago finished the season with a 7-26 overall record and placed eighth in the UAA with a 1-10 mark.
