Sept. 17, 2007 CHICAGO -- Elmhurst College handed the University of Chicago volleyball team a 30-22, 30-27, 30-28 setback in non-conference play Monday night at the Ratner Athletics Center. Sophomore outside hitter Diandra Bucciarelli (Del Mar, Calif./ Torrey Pines) led Chicago (3-7) with 13 kills and eight digs in a losing effort. She finished the match with a .417 attack percentage (13-3-24). As a team, the Maroons hit only .214 as they lost for the sixth time in their last seven outings. Junior outside hitter Kerry Dornfeld (Cary, Ill./ Cary) matched her season high with four blocks. |
