Sept. 11, 2007 WHEATON, Ill. -- Playing its first dual match of the season, the University of Chicago volleyball team dropped a 30-18, 30-22, 30-22 decision Tuesday night at Wheaton (Ill.) College. Sophomore outside hitter Diandra Bucciarelli (Del Mar, Calif./ Torrey Pines) paced the Maroons with eight kills and 10 digs -- her third double-digit effort of the campaign Senior middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) hit .429 with six kills in 14 swings without an error. Chicago slipped to 2-3 on the year, while Wheaton improved to 7-3. |
