Maroons Split at Wisconsin Lutheran
MILWAUKEE -- Senior middle hitter Koryn Kendall (Napa, Calif./ Vintage) collected 23 kills and 11 blocks as the University of Chicago volleyball team split two matches Saturday at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Triangular.
Kendall clubbed 15 kills and notched a .438 attack percentage (15-1-32) in the Maroons' first match, a 30-18, 27-30, 30-24, 30-20 loss to Concordia (Wis.) University (16-5).
Sophomore outside hitter Diandra Bucciarelli (Del Mar, Calif./ Torrey Pines) hit a team-high 17 kills, while freshman outside hitter Elizabeth Kossnar (Park Ridge, Ill./ Maine South) contributed 11.
Kendall then recorded six block solos and three block assists to lead the Maroons past Wisconsin Lutheran (5-14) 30-16, 30-26, 30-16. She also hit eight kills.
Bucciarelli and Kossnar hit 10 and nine kills, respectively, as Chicago (4-15) snapped a nine-match losing streak.
