Maroons to Travel to Wis.-Stevens Point
for NCAA Division III Regional

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's basketball team will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where it will take on the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) in the opening round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Tournament Friday, Mar. 7.

Chicago (20-5) and St. Thomas (20-7) will tip off Friday at 6 p.m. In the second game, the host Pointers (24-4) will take on St. Norbert College (21-4) at approximately 8 p.m.

Tickets for Friday's games priced at $6 for general admission, $4 for students 12 and under, and $3 for U. of C. students can be purchased and held for will call via the Wisconsin-Stevens Point box office by calling (715) 346-4100. To ensure availability, U. of C. fans must purchase tickets by noon Thursday, Mar. 6.

Tickets for Saturday's regional championship game slated for 7 p.m. will be sold upon the conclusion Friday's contests.

Chicago earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament as the University Athletic Association regular season champion. The Maroons make their second NCAA postseason appearance and first since the 1994-95 campaign.
