Chicago Ranked #24 in USA Today/ESPN Poll
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's basketball team was ranked 24th in this week's USA Today/ESPN coaches poll for NCAA Division III.
Chicago owns a 15-5 overall record and is currently tied for third place in the University Athletic Association with a 6-3 mark, one game behind 15th-ranked University of Rochester and 18th-ranked Washington (Mo.) University.
The Maroons returned to the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll after an eight-week absence. Chicago last appeared in the rankings at #21 in week two (Dec. 4).
Chicago, which has won four of its last five games, plays its final road games of the regular season this week, beginning Friday, Feb. 15 in Atlanta against Emory University (11-9 overall, 4-5 UAA). The Maroons then head to Cleveland to take on Case Western Reserve University (11-9, 4-5) Sunday, Feb. 17.
