Chicago Finishes Fourth at Lake Forest

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Sophomores Catherine Stolar (Wilton, Conn./ Wilton) and Mara Goodman (Arlington Heights, Ill./ Hersey) turned in top-10 finishes as the University of Chicago women's cross country team placed fourth among 12 teams at the Forester Invitational Saturday at Lake Forest College.

Stolar and Goodman finished eighth and 10th, respectively, among 116 competitors. Stolar clocked a time of 19:49 on the five-kilometer course, while Goodman checked in at 19:55.

Erin Kelley of Carroll College led the way among affiliated runners with a time of 17:57.

The Illinois Institute of Technology won the event with 61 points, while Carroll and Beloit College tied for second place with 68. Chicago collected 81 points, which was good for fourth place.
