Chicago Finishes 16th at Lakefront Invite

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's cross country team finished 16th out of 19 teams at Loyola University Chicago's 35th Annual Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational Saturday at Montrose Beach.

The meet included teams from all NCAA Divisions -- including 10 Division I squads -- as well as teams representing the NAIA and Canada.

Senior Hannah Moots (Nashville, Tenn./ University) led the Maroons, as she placed 43rd among 203 competitors with a five-kilometer time of 19:11.

Purdue University took top honors in the final team standings, while Case Western Reserve University's Esther Erb was the top individual with a time of 17:35.
