Chicago Finishes 5th at Parkside Invite
KENOSHA, Wis. -- Two Maroon runners placed among the top 15 as the University of Chicago women's cross country team finished fifth out of 14 teams at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Lucian Rosa Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Liz Lawton (North Easton, Mass./ Thayer Academy) and senior Hannah Moots (Nashville, Tenn./ University School) placed eighth and 14th, respectively, with times of 19:00 and 19:19 on the five-kilometer course.
Wisconsin-Parkside's Naomi Fulton led the field with a time of 17:48.
Wisconsin-Parkside won the meet with 40 points, with Indiana Wesleyan University taking second with 56. Chicago collected 127 points in the final standings.
