Nov. 10, 2007 Liz Lawton Earns All-Region Honors CHICAGO -- Freshman Liz Lawton (North Easton, Mass./ Thayer Academy) garnered all-region accolades as the University of Chicago women's cross country team finished 14th at the 37-team Midwest Regional Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Lawton clocked a time of 22:27 on the six-kilometer course, good for a 28th-place showing and inclusion on the All-Midwest Region Team. Washington (Mo.) University and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire finished first and second, respectively, to earn automatic qualification to the national championship meet. |
