Chicago Defeats Lake Forest 1-0

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Junior midfielder Olivia Ndyabagye (Albuquerque, N.M./ Sandia) scored the only goal of the match early in the second half to lift the University of Chicago women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over host Lake Forest College in non-conference play on Tuesday.

Ndyabagye scored off an assist from sophomore forward Brooke Bontz (Fort Collins, Colo./ Poudre) at the 54:57 mark. Ndyabagye's goal was her second of the season and second game-winner.

Chicago (6-2-2) held a commanding 22-5 edge in shots. Lake Forest netminder Alison Lynch collected 15 saves to keep her team in the match.

Senior goalkeeper Amanda Sutter (Irvine, Calif./ University) stopped two shots to notch her fifth shutout of the year for the Maroons.

The win snapped Chicago's four-game winless streak and improved the Maroons' road record to 3-1-1.

Lake Forest dropped to 5-5-1.
