Mar. 15, 2008 Ellie Elgamal Earns All-America Honors OXFORD, Ohio -- University of Chicago freshman Ellie Elgamal (San Diego, Calif./ Bishop's School) earned All-America accolades in one event and competed in two others at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by the College of Wooster Thursday through Saturday. Elgamal garnered honorable mention All-America recognition Friday evening as she placed 15th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.87 seconds. Elgamal also placed 24th in Saturday's 200-yard butterfly preliminaries (2:12.42) and 35th in Thursday's 200-yard individual medley prelims (2:12.04). |
