Chicago Defeats Carthage
KENOSHA, Wis. -- The 23rd-ranked University of Chicago women's tennis team defeated Carthage College 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Marissa Lin (Irvine, Calif./ Tustin) and junior Vindya Dayananda (Kathmandu, Nepal/ Lincoln School) won at first and second singles, respectively, and combined on a 9-8 decision at first doubles.
Freshman Chrissy Hu (Palo Alto, Calif./ Palo Alto) and sophomore Justine Kentla (Palatine, Ill./ Palatine) notched respective victories at third and fourth singles and paired up to win at second doubles.
With its second straight win, Chicago improved its season record to 6-3. Carthage fell to 6-6.
