Mar. 15, 2008 Appie Hirve Earns All-America Honors ADA, Ohio -- University of Chicago senior Appie Hirve (Burke, Va./ Jefferson) earned All-America honors in the triple jump at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship Saturday at Ohio Northern University. One of 16 athletes participating in the triple jump competition, Hirve placed fourth with an 11.45-meter leap. Shannon O'Keeffe of the State University of New York at Brockport took top honors in the event with a distance of 11.70 meters. |
