Mar. 11, 2008 Appie Hirve Qualifies for NCAA III Championship CHICAGO -- University of Chicago senior Appie Hirve (Burke, Va./ Jefferson) has qualified to compete in the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship to be held Friday and Saturday, Mar. 14-15 at Ohio Northern University. Hirve will participate in the triple jump competition, which begins Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (EDT). Hirve qualified for the national meet with an 11.52-meter leap at Chicago's Margaret Bradley Invitational on Feb. 23. That distance stood as the 10th-best in the nation during the regular season. |
