PHOENIX -- The University of Chicago baseball team pounded out 15 hits as it defeated Calvin College 13-3 Thursday on the fifth day of its spring break tour.

Junior starting pitcher Joe Pankow (Naperville, Ill./ North) threw a complete game, allowing two earned runs over seven innings of work, to raise his record to 2-0.

Senior Tommy Gonzalez (Newton, Mass./ North) went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and freshman Stephen Williams (Malibu, Calif./ Malibu) had two hits in three at-bats with three runs scored.

Chicago improved to 4-3, while Calvin slipped to 3-7.
